Spy Cake for Grown-ups

This was a cake for a surprise spy party for a new friend's husband.

Her playing card invitations let everyone know it was a secret 007 party!

The husband loves chocolate so the bomb is a chocolate velvet cake with a chocolate fudge & chocolate buttercream filling.

The base of the cake was a chocolate velvet layer sandwiched between two butter cake layers with choclate fuge and chocolate buttercream filling.

As always, I only used real French buttercream...yummy!

I had a few ask about the size of the cake.  The bottom is three 8" square cake layers and the bomb is 6".

Little Man Cookies

These cookies were created for a Little Man Baby Shower to coordinated with the invite.

Baby Shower Ideas

When I delivered the cake for the baby shower, my friend had a few things already set up.

I snapped a few quick pics to share with you. 

Isn't the sonogram a clever idea?

These sweet cards were ready to be filled out by guests.  I'm not sure if these were an orignal graphic or if she found it out in blogland somewhere.  Either way, super cute!

This was another sweet idea.

She had everyone work together to make baby Leighton her first ABC book.

The page protectors were already in the binder so it was all ready to go after the shower.  What a thoughtful keepsake!!
